Some ink and imagination creates a bouquet

Last Saturday I created this watercolor background. I let it sit for five days. I knew I wanted to ink some flowers but I kept putting it off.
I drew a few petals and centers then set it aside. Kept glancing over at the unfinished-ness of it. I struggled with “ruining” it with my scribbles. The mistakes I might make. And how was I going to fill up a whole page with flowers?
One at a time, that’s how. Flower by flower. Thinking about Anne Lamott’s book, Bird by Bird. Whether it’s making art or writing something, one thing at a time will get you to the finish line. And in the doing, the fear dissipates.
During the creation, a tiny creature appeared and I inked it in. Can you find it?
Pick up your brush or your pen or your camera and do something creative. Little surprises may flutter your direction.
