A little kindness costs nothing

On March 9th I noticed tulips doing their best to find the light. I moved the gazing ball and hoped for the best. The stems and leaves had sprouted sideways, misshapen to adapt to their obstacle.

A month later, the crooked sprouts reached their one goal: to bloom. I think they would have bloomed even if the ball had remained in place, but it would have been harder.

To take a lesson from nature, let’s help each other grow rather than watch another struggle in the dirt.
