I only write when inspiration strikes.

April 2, 2021

Fortunately it strikes at nine every morning.

Who said it? William Faulkner? Peter De Vries? Herman Wouk? Somerset Maugham?

According to Quote Investigator’s website, there’s no conclusive evidence who said it first. Regardless, the sentiment is amusing as well as aspirational.

I’ve found inspiration is more likely to make an appearance if I’ve shown up first. And good things tend to happen.

Show up regularly for a few weeks, or a month, and test it for yourself. You may find you and inspiration in a new relationship.

Make inspiration happen.
