I drove by our old river camp lot the other day and noticed my art installation was still in place. It’s a little worn from the weather, but intact.
It was a fun project to create, we enjoyed it when we were there, and maybe the new owner and visitors enjoy it too.
But no one knows the story behind each sign. The reasons for the chosen locations. Some real, some fictional, some I’ve visited and some I haven’t, but would like to.
There are markers for where family live, where I’ve enjoyed great live music, books I’ve read, trails I’ve walked, memorable vacations, a honeymoon, where I discovered kayaking, and where I met myself —at the Artist’s Point, 1800 miles away in Yellowstone Park.
I think we all have stories behind our “signs.” What stories do you have to share?
Go write, right now!
